- "Did you think to receive the same favors after your rebellion as before? No, Raziel. I have no need for you to enter the physical world, so no conduit will be granted. You serve me adequately as a wraith, and a wraith you will remain."
- ― The Elder God
Wraiths could be characterized as a loose taxon of species native to Nosgoth's Spectral Realm (excluding Archons, the Elder God, Sluagh, specters and tentacles). Some could manifest in the Material Realm, and all were distinguished by their blue Blood.
Both Malek and Raziel, in their latter incarnations, were described as wraiths. They, alongside other creatures referred to as wraiths, appeared in Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2 and Legacy of Kain: Defiance.
Traits[]
All vampire wraiths from Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver exhibit the same features - they are hunched and dressed in brown ragged draperies with a hood over their head. They have red glowing eyes, which they carried over from being an adult vampire in their unlife. Once the dead vampire was revived, it awakened back with a soul breathing ability. However, when killed in combat again, they would leave only regular souls behind. It is unknown whether this is only because of game limitations.
