Winchester Cathedral is a single by The New Vaudeville Band. This is in fact not correct, the song was there rather than the music group. The song is composed by Geoff Stevens, which when it was done still looking had to go to people who had to run. A band from that company would arise Later, which had little success outside of this number. They did have a management that stood. Peter Grant gave leadership to the whole; He also supported The Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin. Following the success their first LP called Stephens also Winchester Cathedral.
In the years following 1966 took quite a few artist the song include Frank Sinatra, on. Nancy Wilson, Ray Conniff, James Last, Petula Clark, Dana Rollin and The Shadows(apart from each other) performed covers of this song. Graham Nash would later for CSN (Crosby, Stills & Nash) Cathedral, also writing about Winchester Cathedral.
