The Righteous Brothers was a musical duo that consisted of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. The height of their popularity also in the years between 1963 and 1975.
The first hit was the Righteous Brothers you've lost that lovin' feelin' from 1965 (re-released in 1988). Other hits were Unchained melody (1965), Ebb tide (1965), (you're my) Soul and inspiration (from 1966) (these four hits were Phil Spectorproductions) and Rock and roll heaven (1974). In 1990 they scored a number 1 hit with the re-releasedUnchained melody .
On 10 March 2003 were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bobby Hatfield died on 5 november 2003. He was found dead in a hotel in Western Michigan, half an hour before a performance by the Righteous Brothers.
