Roger Craig Smith (born August 11, 1975)[1] is an American voice actor and former stand-up comedian,[2] best known as the voice behind Sonic the Hedgehog from the Sonic series, Ezio Auditore da Firenze from the Assassin's Creed series, Captain America in several Marvel projects, Deidara in Naruto: Shippuden, Thomas in Regular Show, Shinji Hirako in Bleach, Martin Reest in Monster, Batman in Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman Ninja, Kyle Crane in Dying Light, Mirage in Apex Legends and the current voice of Sonic the Hedgehog.[3]

Born in St. Joseph, Michigan, Smith graduated from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in 2003 with a degree in screenwriting.

Smith originally began his career as a stand-up comedian, performing stand-up comedy in the mid 90s in film school before getting into voice acting in 2000, his stand-up routines also helped him influence his voice-over career.[4][2] His voice-work has been called upon by companies such as Disney/Disney Television Animation, Cartoon Network, Xbox Game Studios, Sony, Wal-Mart, Baskin-Robbins, E! and TLC.[5][6]
