Oda Nobunaga is a demon appearing in Sakura Wars V: So Long, My Love. Known in history as one of the most powerful and influential daimyō in Japan during the Sengoku period, Nobunaga was revived as the Demon Lord after his death and aimed to conquer the world before being sealed away by the Five-Ring Warriors. Centuries later, he is freed by his henchman Ranmaru and aims to achieve his ambition of conquest starting with the United Sates of America. He's the main antagonist of the game and serves as Shinjiro Taiga's nemesis.

Nobunaga has the appearance of a tall dark-skinned Japanese man with long dark green hair tied up in a small ponytail. He has red eyes, a dark green mustache and small beard.
Nobunaga is seen wearing a crimson and gold armor with many accessories. He also has a large red cape.

Oda Nobunaga was born in on June 23rd, 1534 in Nagoya, Owari Province in Japan during the Sengoku period. He became known in history as one of the most powerful and influential daimyō in Japan as well as the "Great Unifier".
However, on June 21st, 1582, Nobunaga was betrayed by his general Akechi Mitsuhide during his campaign to consolidate centralized power in Japan under his authority. Nobunaga died at the Honnō-ji temple in Kyoto during an event known as the Honnō-ji Incident.
Nobunaga was eventually revived as the Demon Lord and returned to Japan alongside his heavenly fortress Azuchi Castle. With Ranmaru at his side, Nobunaga aimed to conquer not just Japan but the entire world. His crusade brought him in conflict with the Five-Ring Warriors who fought him to stop him. Because Nobunaga became too powerful, the Five-Ring Warriors resorted to a desperate option which involved using the Five-Ring Mandala to seal away the Demon Lord at the cost of one of them dying. Nobunaga was sealed away but not before swearing that he will return.

Sakura Wars V: So Long, My Love[]
In 1928, Nobunaga's followers, led by Ranmaru, attack New York City in the United States of America, citing that it's position as the largest city in the world brings a large amount of Pneuma that will make it the perfect place to free Nobunaga. Their attacks attract the attention of the New York Combat Revue's Star Division, a military unit dedicated to fight supernatural threats. One by one, Nobunaga's minions perish fighting against the Star Division aside from Ranmaru who reaches the final steps of Nobunaga's return.
