Mobius is the name of a fictional planet that appears in several spin-off media for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The term originated from the early Sonic canon by Sega of America and was subsequently adopted in Western media. After Sonic Adventure, the term was discarded worldwide, and has been very rarely used afterwards. Sonic's home world was named "Earth" in Sonic Adventure 2 and has remained its canon name ever since.
