James was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Kevin James and Steffiana de la Cruz. His father is of Ashkenazi Jewish, German, Italian and Sephardi Jewish descent and His mother is of Filipino descent. He has older sisters Sienna James and Shea James and younger sister Sistine James.
