Juliet is a character in Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet.

Juliet is an English personal name. It is thought to be derived from Juliette, a French diminutive of Julie. It ultimately comes from the Latin nomen (or clan name) Julius/Julia, or "son/daughter of Jove".[1]
