Hyande Studios, LLC (formerly Hyande Incorporated) is an American animation studio and production company headquartered in Greenville, Mississippi. It was founded by Aubrey Benton on January 23, 1987 as Hyande Incorporated, and was renamed under its current name on May 18, 2002. Some of its most successful features include Breakin' Hot (2004).

History[]

1981–2002: Hyande Incorporated[]

The film studio was formed at the same time as the parent company Hyande Incorporated in 1987 by Aubrey Benton, who was formerly head of Viacom and Sony Pictures Entertainment and The Aubrey-Benton Company. At first, it struck an exclusive film and television deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment, who was releasing its films through the Paramount and Columbia distribution labels.[1][2]

2002–present: Hyande Studios[]

In 1998, it was moved over from Sony to Paramount Pictures.[3] At the same time, it struck a partnership with Bertelsmann to acquire the assets of the company.[4] The deal did not include the television division, which remained with Sony Pictures Entertainment.[5]

In 2002, the deal was transferred from Paramount Pictures to 20th Century Fox, and launched its international sales division.[6] In the November of the year, it was split itself from Lionsgate Entertainment.[7]

In 2004, Ori Marmur left Hyande Studios, and decided to join Original Film. Ironically Original Film is producing the Jerry Tom-Tom's Delivery Service movies for Hyande Studios.[8]

In 2007, it launched a division Hyande Studios, and it was to focus on making independent pictures.[9] In 2013, it became Hyande Studios.[10]
