Growing Pains is a American comedy series, which from 1985 to 1992 in the United States was broadcast by ABC .
At the heart of Growing Pains is the daily life of the family Seaver in Long Island, which consists of Jason and Maggie Seaver and their children Mike, Carol, Ben and Chrissy. Jason is working as a psychiatrist In the series. His practice is at home, while his wife Maggie as a journalist outside the door works at the ' Long Island Herald '.
Each episode takes 24 minutes and the first episode was broadcast on september 24, 1985, the last episode on april 25, 1992. A total of 166 episodes were made.
Leonardo DiCaprio has among other things made his breakthrough in this series. In Netherlands, the series was broadcast from 1985 by AVRO .
