The Gil cell was a cell discovered by renowned GOD scientist Dr. Gil Breitling, father of AMS agent Stick Breitling, whom it was named after. The cell had the ability to enter a person's body & cease its functions, but would maintain the body's vitality & nullified its host’s perception of pain.
The cell possessed a form of "sentience" that allowed it to learn & adapt itself. Once entering its host's brain, it would then merge with surrounding cells and spread throughout the rest of their body, rapidly reproducing itself.
While considered for use in the military’s UDS Project, it was considered too dangerous and difficult to control. The bio-terrorist ZED would later steal & use Gil cells to create his own Undead Soldiers, in Zombie Revenge.
