The emergence of Radio Caroline[Edit][edit | edit source]

The manager of Georgie Fame in the beginning of the 1960s was Ronan O'Rahilly, born in Ireland and living in London. For Ronan I managed not to get turned to the plates of Georgie Fame at the BBC or Radio Luxembourg. This was ultimately for him led to the founding of a private offshore radioRadio Caroline.
