Game & Watch Gallery, known in japan as Game Boy Gallery is a series of collections of Game & Watch games released by Nintendo for Game Boy consoles. Most games are featured in two different versions: Classic, faithful to the original game, and Modern, more complex and featuring Mario characters.

Five games have been released, but note that the first one is sometimes not considered part of the series, since the title of the series was changed starting with the second game, and is seemingly ignored by the next games, that include games already featured in it. We consider it part of the series because it is aknowledged in the Japanese title of the next three games. The games are:

  • Game Boy Gallery (April 27, 1995), Game Boy.
  • Game & Watch Gallery (February 1, 1997), Game Boy. Known in Japan and Australia as Game Boy Gallery 2. Re-released in 2011 for 3DS Virtual Console.
  • Game & Watch Gallery 2 (September 27, 1997), Game Boy. Known in Japan and Australia as Game Boy Gallery 3. Re-released in November 1998 for Game Boy Color and in 2012 for 3DS Virtual Console.
  • Game & Watch Gallery 3 (August 4, 1999), Game Boy Color. Known in Japan and Australia as Game Boy Gallery 4. Re-released in 2014 for 3DS Virtual Console.
  • Game & Watch Gallery Advance (October 25, 2002), Game Boy Advance. Known as Game & Watch Gallery 4 in North America. Re-released for Wii U Virtual Console in 2015.

Links to other series[]

Note: Game & Watch games included in the Game & Watch Gallery games are considered games within the games, creating a type 2 link, and so are elements from other series featured in "Modern" versions of games. Only features in the general menus create an in-universe link. Games mentioned in the "G&W History" section only count as incidental references (and are therefore not listed), since that section simply lists all the Game & Watch games ever released. class="wikitable "
