Frogger is a series of action games developed by Konami. The original game, developed by Konami and published by Sega in 1981 for Arcade platforms, was Konami's first big hit and is considered a timeless classic.
The series was the center of a long dispute between Konami and Sega over which company held the rights to the original game. Konami eventually won the dispute, after which they were able to make new games and sequels, eventually redesigning the titular Frogger into a anthropomorphic mascot-type character.
