Fire was the fourth Game & Watch game to be realeased. It was made by Nintendo Research & Devolopment 1 and realeased on July 31st,1980. It was one of the most popular games in the Game & Watch series. Due to Fire's popularity, another version was released on December 4, 1981. That version was part of the Wide Screen series.
Gameplay[]
In the Silver Screen version, people are falling from a burning building. You play the role of two firemen who carry a trampoline. You have to bounce all the people to a waiting ambulance. When you get a person in the ambulance you score 1 point. But if a person hits the ground, you lose a life. There are three lives. If you lose them all you lose the game. In the Wide Screen version, gameplay is very simmalar except there are a few changes. The biggest change of all is the fact that you only need to bounce a person to score a point instead of having to get them in the ambulance. Another change is that the Wide Screen version was more colorful and had better graphics than the Silver Series version.
Mistakes[]
In Fire, the burning building is on the left side and the ambulance is on the right side. But when Nintendo was making it, they wanted the building on the right side and they wanted the ambulance on the left side. But a mistake was made when it was being made and the burning building ended up on the left side and the ambulance on the right side. Nintendo decided to go with the mistake.
Other Appearances[]
In Game & Watch Gallery, Game & Watch Gallery 3, and Game & Watch Gallery 4, Fire is a playable game. Fire also makes a brief appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, on Flat Zone 2. Players can jump on the trampoline which is held out by the firemen.
