Dragonball Z Gaiden: Saiya-jin Zetsumetsu Keikaku (translated as The Plan to Destroy the Saiyajins) was the final Dragon Ball Z game to be released for the Famicom system. Once again the gameplay takes the form of a battle card RPG where the players movement and battle choices are dictated by the randomly generated playing cards the player receives. The game doesn't follow the anime storyline but features an original one based on a special movie.
The premise of the story is that one of the surviving Truffles creates a machine that brings back old foes (Frieza,Cooler,Slug,Turles) and poisons the wild-life. This also has an effect on the character's KI attacks, which they are suddenly unable to perform. It's up to you to combat this threat and recover your lost moves!
