Do the Right Thing is an American independent film from 1989 directed by Spike Lee , who wrote the screenplay. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for best screenplay and best supporting actor for that player ( Danny Aiello ). The film received twelve other film awards actually granted and in 1999 incorporated into the National Film Registry .

Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, it's the hottest day of the year. In this predominantly black neighborhood, Sal, runs an Italian immigrant, with his sons Pino and Vito been a successful pizzeria. However, Pino is a racist and a troublemaker. He annoys effects such constantly that his father, the local drunkard Da Mayor grants its daily dollar for wiping the pavement. However, the hot-tempered rebel forces Bugging Out Sal to hang portraits of black stars the bomb.
