Cat Valentine is a character in the sitcom Victorious, which aired on the kids’ network Nickelodeon. She is friends with the main character Tori Vega. Cat is a good singer and goes to a performing arts school called Hollywood Arts, the same school as Tori. She is very friendly, positive, sweet and bubbly, although very ditzy and constantly struggles to grasp common sense. She is shown to have some psychological problems - she is overly sensitive and shown to be bipolar. Her hair is dyed a deep shade of red and is portrayed by Ariana Grande. She, along with Sam Puckett, a character from the show iCarly, were later the main characters in a joint spinoff of both their respective series called Sam & Cat.

Cat mainly hangs out with André Harris (Leon Thomas III), Robbie Shapiro (Matt Bennett), Tori Vega (Victoria Justice), Jade West (Elizabeth Gillies) and Beck Oliver (Avan Jogia), and is often seen eating with them at lunch on the Hollywood Arts campus, as well as learning together in their eccentric teacher Sikowitz’s classroom. Her abusive, creepy and crazy brother is often mentioned but never seen, who may be part of the reason why she has psychological problems.
