Wong was born in El Cajon, California to James Wong and Teena Wong. His father is Chinese and His mother is of Dutch, English, French-Canadian, German, Irish, Northern Irish (Scotch-Irish), Norwegian, Scottish, Swedish, Swiss and Welsh descent. He has an older sister Taylor Wong and twin brother James Wong Jr.. He has a mesomorph athletic body at age 11.
