Bad Brains is an American punk-rock formation that in 1979 originated in New York. Between 1977 and 1979 they made under the name, Jazz-funk , Mind Power ". Inspired by the emerging punk radicalized their repertoire; by an unofficial ban in many clubs and venues they had to their hometown forced Washington, D.C. for New York. In december 1979, they released their first single: "Pay to Cum".
Although the group members reject the interpretation hardcore [1], they are widely regarded as the founding fathers of the hardcore punk. [2] [3]. by their alternation of fast explosive punk with reggae, is Bad Brains by (among other things) the Red Hot Chilli Peppers considered the real founders of the crossover.
