BBC Radio 5 Live (formerly written as BBC Radio Five Live) is a national radio station in the United Kingdom and part of the British Broadcasting Corporation. The station plays out live programs such as BBC News and sports programs. It is also the most important radio station for live sports in the United Kingdom, and forward almost all major sporting events from those held there are or where British players.

The transmitter is transmitted through the medium wave band (AM) on the frequencies 693 and 909 kHz. These frequencies were used until 1990 for BBC Radio 2 and in some regions by the former BBC Home Service/BBC Radio 4. 5 Live can also be received via DABDigital Video Broadcast (DVB-S) and Freeview (DVB-T). The transmitter is digitally stream, but also related to broadcasting rights are mainly live sports broadcasts are often not passed on internet. Some programs are only available to listeners in the United Kingdom.
