A Serious Man is a Black comic film from 2009 by Joel and Ethan Coen. The film premiered on september 12, premiered at the 2009 Toronto International film festival.
Story[Edit][]
The life of Larry Gopnik, a Jewish professor in 1967 , falls apart. His wife wants to divorce him, including ĝet's, because they have a relationship with Sy; under pressure from his wife and Sy is Larry in a motel. Sy dies however. Larry and his family are also stuck with his live-in brother Arthur, which is occupying the bathroom long and illegal gambling. A neighbor picks up a piece of garden in. Larry Gets a car accident, but is physically unharmed. He asks aid to three rabbi's. but not much further. A student trying to buy. Larry agrees because of money problems, including a high account of a lawyer. His son is high at his bar mitzvah. Larry Gets an ominous call from his doctor after an investigation. There will be a tornado .

- The Coen brothers had an agreement with Working Title Films and Focus Features that they would make two movies for this production companies. A Serious Man is the second film after Burn After Reading(2008).
- Joel and Ethan Coen rigged the movie itself, although in the credits to read that it is a montage of Roderick Jaynes . They have invented that name and use them with all their movies in the end credits.
